  • SUMMER SCHOOL CO-ORDINATOR (ref #19)
    Temporary 12 week contract (May – August 2008)
    35 hrs per week, £17,700 - £19,341

    To manage and deliver, with volunteers, the intercultural and anti-discriminatory Summer School for up to 100 children during July, with a key emphasis on the health, safety and protection from harm of children in volunteers' and staff care. Areas of work take place at specific times, i.e. recruitment of volunteers early May – late June, recruitment of children in early June, training in the first week in July, managing and evaluating the school in July, concluding evaluation and planning in early August. A qualification in Community Education, Teaching, Social work or an SVQ Level 4 or equivalent is required.

  • CO-ORDINATING YOUNG WOMEN’S WORKER (ref #20)
    Temporary 4 week contract (June 27 – July 25, 2008)
    35 hrs per week, £16,197 - £17,700

    Providing a positive intercultural social and learning experience for girls and young women aged 12 - 16. You will develop, implement and evaluate a programme of activities to engage girls and young women in creative and positive learning experiences. You will develop constructive relationships with girls and young women attending the summer school, encouraging all to plan and take part in the activities and to become involved in the decision making process. • YWCA Livingston
  Part time Administrator (#015)
  21 hrs per week
  £13,971 - £15,726 per annum

  We are looking for an experienced administrator with excellent customer service and team working skills who will be responsible for all day to day administration relating to the centre and its services including reception duties, bookings, budgets and petty cash. You will also be responsible for co-ordinating the general maintenance of the building. Previous administration experience and the ability to manage a busy and varied role are essential requirements.

  The hours of work for this position are:
  Monday 9am to 2pm
  Tuesday to Friday 9am to 1pm
