YWCA MORAYService of Celebration 25 SeptemberThe Right Rev Mark Strange, Chairperson of YWCA Moray Local Advisory Committee, led a Service of Celebration to thank YWCA Moray staff and volunteers for their work both in the child development centre and in the projects that have supported and inspired women to overcome challenges and take their lives forward. Dianne Short, YWCA Board of Directors reflected the wishes of many at the service - "We really appreciate the hard work and commitment of staff, volunteers and the local advisory committee. The child care has developed into an excellent service and we wish them and VIP Child Care every success." YWCA Moray - focusing on girls and young womenYWCA Moray is now undergoing a period of review to identify future work with girls and young women. There will be an open meeting on 22 nd November at 6.30 pm in Elgin Community Centre to discuss ideas for developing our work with girls and young women in Moray that all interested parties are invited to attend. Right Rev Mark Strange , says, "This is an opportunity for people who are interested in hearing about the work of the YWCA and working with us to help guide future projects and plans." YWCA Chief Executive Gill Martin says, "We will be working closely with Moray Council and other partners to consider what happens now, looking at projects and what posts we need with the focus firmly on girls and young women."
