YWCA Kirkcaldy

YWCA Kirkcaldy aims to provide a platform for girls and women to have their voices heard and make a significant contribution in Kirkcaldy, Fife and beyond. We are looking to develop outreach work in the Kirkcaldy area and develop volunteering opportunities for girls and women.

We are working in partnership with Fife College, Fife Council, Kirkcaldy Community Safety Panel, Fife Women’s Network, Kirkcaldy and Kinghorn Community Forum, Adult Local Learning Planning Group, Children and Young People Planning group, sharing ideas and resources for the benefit of the whole community.

Centre Opening Hours
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and 7pm - 9pm

Local Advisory Committee
Our Local Advisory Committee is made up of local people who meet with us to plan and develop our centre programme. We meet once a month to discuss and develop the work of the Centre and new members are always welcome.

Membership
We welcome everyone who shares our commitment to our values and principles to join us as members. All service users are encouraged to take out a membership. Members’ benefits include reduced fees for classes, and bi-annual YWCA Scotland Members’ Newsletter, opportunities to sit on our local advisory committee, National Board of Directors, attend annual National Conference, access to international training and representation opportunities. Membership rates are: £12.00 waged £3.00 unwaged.

Volunteering
We value volunteers as skilled contributors to our services, providing the centre with a strong community foundation, new ideas and invaluable support. Travel expenses will be met and relevant training will be offered to all volunteers as detailed in our Volunteering Policy. If you have a few hours to spare every week or month and would like to help us deliver our services we would be pleased to hear from you. There are all sorts of skills we could benefit from so please don’t feel restricted by what we currently offer. Your ideas and skills may be just what we are after.
