Volunteering at YWCA Scotland

We need volunteers to contribute their time, skills, energy and enthusiasm to develop the work of the YWCA. In return you can gain:

  • New skills and experience – whether you want to improve your job prospects or just need a new challenge to shake up the old routine
  • New friends and the opportunity to meet people from many different walks of life
  • The confidence that comes from seeing your actions help improve the lives of young women in Scotland and around the world
  • Great times and happy memories

YWCA Scotland volunteering is open to all, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexuality or ability. All volunteers will be treated with respect, and are expected to treat others in the same way.
We provide all volunteers with training at the start of their involvement, as well as ongoing support to develop the knowledge and skills they need.

Training provided for volunteers includes:

  • Child Protection
  • First Aid
  • Health and Safety
  • IT
  • Committee Skills

We also provide travel and childcare expenses.
