Strut, Sweat, Smile raises over £300 for The Young Women’s MovementWritten by The Young Women's Movement
Thank you, thank you, thank you to Young Women’s Movement member Hayley MacDonald and friends who raised over £320 for us last weekend at their ‘Fierce Female Friday’ fundraising night of dance, celebration and empowerment.
Falkirk Youth Dance Company performed ‘Be The Change’, a new dance choreographed by Zoe Thomson, Artistic Director at Falkirk Youth Dance Company, and Maya Angelou’s ‘Phenomenal Woman’.
Body building coach Sage MacDonald ran a power posing taster session and self love photo booth full of silly props. The winner of ‘bra pong’ went home with a pair of red velvet boob cupcakes and runners up won a single boob each (we love this, thanks Luscious Lovelies!) Guests were invited to share one thing they love about themselves at a self care station and Hayley ran a One Billion Rising dance workshop.
Thanks for raising all this money for young women and girls in Scotland, Hayley and friends. We freaking love you. x – The Young Women’s Movement team
