Minister to Attend YWCA AGM
Inspiring Young Women and Girls: YWCA Scotland Annual General Meeting, 24 September 2011
The YWCA Scotland Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Saturday, 24 September 2011 at Craigsfarm, Maree Walk, Livingston EH54 5BP. Registration, tea and coffee will start from 9.30am and the business meeting will run from 10 to 11 am. This will be followed by a programme of presentations showcasing achievements of YWCA’s young women and girls and the organisations over the year.
YWCA Scotland is delighted that Angela Constance, Minister for Children and Young People in the Scottish Parliament and MSP for Almond Valley, will be attending and delivering a short presentation during the programme. Other highlights will include feedback from the YWCA World Council and Women’s Summit in Zurich in July, Report on the Under Pressure training for youth workers on addressing abuse and sexual exploitation in teen relationships, videos and displays featuring the work of YWCA during the year and stories from young women, girls and volunteers of YWCA Scotland.
