YWCA Scotland is part of the biggest women’s movement in the world.

Founded 160 years ago in the UK, the World YWCA movement reaches over 25 million women and girls in over 120 countries today, from South Sudan to Iceland.

THE WORLD YWCA VISION IS:

By 2035, 100 million young women and girls will transform power structures to create justice, gender equality and a world without violence and war; leading a sustainable YWCA movement, inclusive of all women.

The 2016-2019 Strategic Framework of the World YWCA identifies three goals:

We actively support and participate in the worldwide movement through World YWCA and other European and international initiatives which strengthen the position and rights of all women.
